Implicit Carbons


This is an option setting on Page 2 of Preferences and also has a shortcut toggle button on the toolbar.  Selecting Implicit Carbons will override the MSC Pro default which is to display all acyclic carbons (and their valence hydrogens).  If you prefer the simpler appearance of structures that display only heteroatoms with all carbons implicitly defined by bond links, then you can activate this option.

Clicking Show Atoms will always display all atoms in a molecule including all carbon atoms.  When Show Atoms is turned off, the structure will revert to either the default (acyclic C are displayed, but not ring carbons) or to the implicit carbon view if that is the current setting.
